Rugby league power couple Millie Boyle and Adam Elliott celebrate wedding
NRL power couple Adam Elliott and Mille Boyle have tied the knot, celebrating the rugby league wedding of the year in absolute style.
NRL power couple Adam Elliott and Millie Boyle have tied the knot in the rugby league wedding of the year.
Elliott and Boyle got married on Friday afternoon, with the bride sharing footage of the couple running through a guard of honour jumping off a pier into the ocean while fully clothed — Boyle in her wedding gown and Elliott in his suit.
Boyle captioned the video: “THE ELLIOTTS.”
They emerged from the water hand-in-hand and looking absolutely delighted.
Boyle’s teammate, NRLW Roosters star Jess Sergis wrote on Instagram: “Not sure how you still look 10/10 coming out of the water.”
The celebrations continued at the Shoal Bay Country Club, where Boyle and Elliott were joined by several NRL and NRL stars.
Some familiar rugby league faces seen in attendance included Kalyn Ponga, Sergis, Bradman Best, Mat Croker, Jacob and Daniel Saifiti and Dylan Napa.
Elliott said recently they were hoping for the wedding to be a fairly low key affair.
“We’re both the cruisiest people to organise a wedding,” he said.
“We speak to some of our friends and how organised they were and they think we are taking the piss out of them when we say how last-minute we have left some stuff.
“We have some really good friends and family around us.”
Boyle and Elliott began dating in 2021 and were engaged last year, shortly after Boyle won the NRLW premiership with Newcastle and Elliott was brought to tears as he celebrated by hoisting her up on his shoulders in heartwarming scenes.
Boyle is one the NRLW’s marquee players and has already won three premierships in the women’s competition — two with the Brisbane Broncos and one with the Newcastle Knights.
The 25-year-old moved to the Roosters this season, while Elliott joined the Knights and enjoyed a solid season as Newcastle qualified for the finals.
The couple caused a stir when they first got together after the pair were discovered by security in a restaurant bathroom.
Boyle maintained it was “an innocent kiss” but Elliott was reportedly escorted out of the venue without a shirt on.
He was fined $10,000 by the league for bringing the game into disrepute and ultimately parted ways with the Bulldogs, agreeing to walk out on his contract with a reported two years and $1 million on the table.
Soon after the scandal, however, the pair revealed they were in a committed relationship and have become one of the sport’s power couples.
