Stockport County is poised to land departing Hull City man.
According to Football Insider, Stockport County are interested in signing Billy Chadwick, who is leaving Hull City.
Stockport County are preparing for another season in League Two, and they signed left-back Ibou Touray from North West rivals Salford City over the weekend.

Chadwick, 23, is leaving the Tigers at the end of the month when his contract expires and will consider his options as a free agent.

According to Football Insider, he is now ‘poised’ to join Edgeley Park as Dave Challinor’s side looks to bolster their ranks.

Stockport County to bolster its ranks
Stockport could see Chadwick as someone who can provide more competition and depth in the forward areas. He is versatile, able to play either up front or in attacking midfield.

He has spent his entire career with Hull, rising through the academy ranks alongside Keane Lewis-Potter and Jacob Greaves.

Chadwick has been a regular for the Tigers at various youth levels and made his first-team debut against Leeds United in a Carabao Cup match in September 2020. He has since made another eight appearances for the East Yorkshire club.
He has also been loaned out from the MKM Stadium to Gainsborough Trinity, FC Halifax Town, and Linfield. In the previous season, the Hull native also played for Boston United, where he scored 11 goals in 20 appearances.

Stockport will be hoping he can find that type of form in the fourth tier if they are able to close a deal to sign him. The Hatters finished fourth last season and lost in the play-off final to Carlisle United.
