Worst nightmare: AFC Wimbledon coach Johnnie Jackson have been fired

Johnnie Jackson: AFC Wimbledon boss banned and fined after red card

AFC Wimbledon manager Johnnie Jackson has been banned from the touchline for two matches following his red card at Crawley Town in League Two.

Jackson, 41, was sent off in the 45th minute of the 2-1 win on 22 December.

The former Charlton boss admitted a Football Association charge that his language and behaviour were improper and/or abusive and/or insulting.

The FA said he also admitted that “failing to remain in the changing room and continuing to view the match was improper”.

Jackson, who was appointed Dons manager in May 2022 following his sacking after just over six months in charge at Charlton, where he was also a player, has also been handed a £750 fine on top of the ban by an independent regulatory commission.

Wimbledon are currently seventh in League Two, the final play-off position, and are 10 points behind the third automatic promotion spot.
