Spanish tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz continues to make headlines both on and off the court. The 21-year-old, currently ranked world No. 3, has announced the release date of his much-anticipated Netflix documentary series, “Carlos Alcaraz: My Way,” set to premiere on April 23, 2025.
The documentary, produced by Morena Films and directed by Jorge Laplace, chronicles Alcaraz’s remarkable 2024 season, offering fans an intimate look into his life and career. Filming commenced during “The Netflix Slam,” a televised exhibition match between Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal on March 3, 2024, and continued throughout various tournaments, including the French Open, Wimbledon, the Laver Cup, the Davis Cup, and the ATP Finals. The series aims to showcase the dedication and resilience that propelled Alcaraz to the pinnacle of tennis.
Currently, Alcaraz is competing at the 2025 Indian Wells Open, where he seeks to secure his third consecutive title—a testament to his dominance on the hard courts of California. In his opening match, he displayed exceptional form, defeating Frenchman Quentin Halys. Beyond his performance, spectators were intrigued by a new tattoo on Alcaraz’s right arm bearing the date “23-4-25.” This sparked widespread speculation until it was revealed that the tattoo is part of the promotional campaign for his upcoming Netflix series, symbolizing its release date.
Alcaraz’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. He burst onto the professional scene as a teenager and rapidly ascended the ATP rankings, capturing the world No. 1 spot in 2022 at just 19 years old. His aggressive playing style, mental fortitude, and humility have endeared him to fans worldwide. As he aims for a historic three-peat at Indian Wells, the tennis community eagerly anticipates both his on-court performances and the forthcoming documentary that delves into the life of this remarkable athlete.
