SO SAD: Neil Diamond Breaks Down In Tears As His Wife Betrays Him After…

Capitol Records has announced the new album Neil Diamond With The London Symphony Orchestra, Classic Diamonds, to be released worldwide on November 20.

The set features new vocal performances by the world-renowned singer-songwriter of many of his best-loved hits, accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra.

The album was recorded both at Abbey Road Studios in London and at Diamond’s studio in Los Angeles. It features such all-time favorites as “I Am…I Said,” “Love on the Rocks,” “September Morn,” and “Sweet Caroline.”

The first release from the set, his new version of the US Top 5 hit of 1982, “Heartlight,” is now available to stream and download, and with pre-orders of the album.

The celebrated song was written by Diamond with Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager, and inspired by the smash hit film E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.

Steve Barnett, chairman & CEO of Capitol Music Group, comments: “Neil Diamond is simply one of the most important vocalists and songwriters in the history of popular music, and this majestic new album shines a beautiful spotlight on some of his greatest works.

Classic Diamonds is a glorious addition to Neil’s body of work, and we are proud to be presenting it to listeners around the world.”

Diamond thus adds a new volume to a remarkable body of work that dates back to the mid-1960s and saw him inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.

His first Capitol studio album, 2014’s Melody Road, was a Top 3 US hit, and gold-certified success in the UK, adding to career sales estimated at 100 million.
