Contract Termination: Darren Moore contract has been terminated due to…..

Sam Hart: Port Vale confirms fourth summer signing as former loanee joins.
Port Vale have confirmed the signing of former loanee Sam Hart on a two-year contract.

He becomes the club’s fourth signing this summer, following Ronan Curtis, Ryan Croasdale, and striker Jayden Stockley.

Hart had a brief loan with the Valiants back in 2016. He was most recently with Sutton United, where he was named player of the year for the 2023-24 season.

Hart will provide much-needed competition for the left wingback position.

Manager Darren Moore said: “Sam is an athletic full back with a combative nature who will add balance to our back line. Following a number of conversations with Sam, it was clear that he is committed to what we are building here at Port Vale: a competitive squad that the fans can be proud of and confident in to represent them week in and week out.”

While I’m not disappointed at the moment lol with the signings we’ve made, I’m more concerned about the lack of movement out. I would have hoped that some clubs out there would have forgotten how bad some of those players were last season and offered us big money for them. Our ability to bring

Completely agree with the previous comment. I, too, am pleased with the new signings, but I am hoping to see some of ‘the dead wood’ leave the club. We cannot have a large squad of players, many of whom are not good enough to play for the first team. We need a harmonious and competitive dressing room. I understand that some contribution to paying off the contracts may be required, but this may be a price worth paying.

Hope we have more to clear out because they lot last season put me and my brother through hell week in and week out, so if any of them start at Salford, I will be one peeved Vale fan.

The problem is no disrespect to any footballer, but due to their performances last season, it will be difficult to move them on. Being under contract is the problem, but we appear to be going in the right direction injury-free, younger than last season, and experienced at lge2 level. Credit to Darren Moore for knowing what’s what.

I would imagine that once the current squad sees signings in their positions and realizes they will be pushed down the pecking order, they will want to move.

Hart is an excellent signing who will improve both the defensive and attacking aspects of the left back position. He impressed me while on loan at the Vale, and I saw him on live TV a few years ago when he was Southend’s standout player. So far, the signings have been spot on, with the potential to make the Vale a very competitive League 2 side.

He was part of Southend, Oldham, and last season Sutton teams that were relegated to the national league; hopefully, he is not a bad omen.
