BEVIS MUGABI DEPARTS.
We can confirm that Bevis Mugabi will leave the club.
Our longest-serving player last year will leave Motherwell after joining in September 2019.
After 125 appearances for the club, he leaves with everyone’s best wishes for the future.
Everyone in the club greatly values his contributions.

Well Society member Niall Kane was overjoyed to learn that he had won the cost of his Season Ticket in our recent competition.
Niall joined the Society last month and purchased his Season Ticket for 24/25, automatically entering the draw. He joined the 48 others in the hat who had recently joined, increased their monthly membership contribution, or resumed payments.
He received a refund for his £395 Season Ticket.
Niall said, “I’m overjoyed. I joined the Society because I wanted to help the Club in any way possible. To win and have the Season Ticket cost refunded is fantastic. Here’s to a successful 2024/25 season!”
Over the course of the initiative, the Society received recurring payments totaling more than £4,000 per year.
Sean Baillie from the Membership Workstream said, “Thanks to everyone who joined the Society, restarted payments, or pledged to increase their monthly contribution – it all goes towards supporting the Club we love. We are delighted with the additional revenue this will generate annually, all of which will contribute to Motherwell FC’s future success.”
The excitement for the start of the new season grew, but just one day before the season began, Motherwell added a new player to their forward line.
Theo Bair joined the club after leaving St Johnstone in the summer and was immediately thrust into the starting lineup for the first match against Dundee.
Motherwell B were eliminated from the SPFL Trust Trophy at the first hurdle, losing to Tranent in a penalty shootout.
Stuart Kettlewell has added Mika Biereth to his growing list of attacking options, with the Danish Under-21 international joining on loan from Arsenal.
The first player of the month award of the season went to young starlet Lennon Miller, who scored two goals and assisted once in the four Viaplay Cup games.
Bair got off to the best possible start for his new club, scoring a first-half goal against Dundee in a rain-soaked game. Lyall Cameron levelled the game in the second half, securing a draw for the Steelmen on the opening day.
Seven days later, it was time for the other new striker to make an immediate impact. Mika Biereth, who had been named to the bench, came on shortly after the hour mark. It wouldn’t take him long to make his mark, beating Louis Stevenson in the tussle and setting
Barry Maguire moved south, joining Kidderminster Harriers on loan until January.
Next, the ‘Well drew a large crowd to Paisley to face St Mirren in the Viaplay Cup’s last 16. Caolan Boyd-Munce’sfirst-halfgoal helped the hosts advance to the next round.
The game was marred by controversy when Mika Biereth sustained a serious knee injury, forcing the Dane to return to Arsenal for recovery.
Lennon Miller and Bevis Mugabi were called up by their respective countries, with Miller making his debut for Scotland’s Under 21 squad.
