NFL makes a shocking Announcement about Joe Burrow

NFL Makes Joe Burrow Announcement After Record-Breaking Season With Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals strung together five straight wins to end their season, but despite that, it wasn’t enough to sneak them into the playoffs after the Kansas City Chiefs couldn’t knock off the Denver Broncos in Week 18.

Nonetheless, the Bengals started the year 0-3 and were even 4-8 at one point. Slow starts have been a common theme for Cincinnati over the last few seasons, but this year, in particular, it’s a tough pill to swallow because star quarterback Joe Burrow was astounding from start to finish this year for the Bengals.

Burrow had a record-breaking year, posting the best statistical season of his career.

He led the NFL in touchdown passes (43) and passing yards (4,918), both of which were career highs.

He was exceptional over the Bengals’ stretch run this last month, and with that, the NFL announced on Thursday that he has been named the Offensive Player of the Month for December and the first week of January.

He completed 76.2% of his passes for 1,890 yards, 16 passing touchdowns, and maintained a 111.2 passer rating.

Joe Burrow became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 250-plus yards and 3-plus touchdown passes in eight straight games, and he appeared in all 17 of the Bengals’ games this season.

This marks the second consecutive year the Bengals will miss the playoffs with a 9-8 record. Last year, Burrow missed the second half of the season due to a wrist injury, with Jake Browning stepping in to keep the team afloat.

Now, the Bengals enter an interesting offseason, with the team already seeing some major shakeups on the coaching staff as they look to address their issues and bounce back in 2025.
