Five-Star Plus+ OT makes it official with Oklahoma
After announcing earlier in the day that he would stick with his commitment to Oklahoma and sign with the Sooners, Five-Star Plus+ OT Michael Fasusi is officially in the Sooners’ class, the school announced around 4:20 pm CT.
Elite Georgia Tech OL commit has yet to sign
As of 4:15 p.m. CT, high four-star offensive lineman and Georgia Tech commit Josh Petty has yet to sign his financial aid papers with the Yellow Jackets, per On3’s Chad Simmons.
Petty is a top-50 prospect nationally in the class and is a huge need for Brent Key and Co. to keep at home after losing four-star tackle Damola Ajidahun to South Carolina earlier today.
According to Simmons, a handful of schools have been in contact with Petty’s camp today.
Florida State making a late charge for recent UF decommit
One of the most pleasant surprises of the day has been Florida State, which held onto a number of key commits and flipped four-stars Ousmane Kromah (Georgia) and Jayvan Boggs (UCF).
And they may not be done yet.
They also are now the heavy favorite for four-star tight end Tae’shaun Gelsey, who parted ways with Florida earlier this afternoon. According to GatorsOnline’s Keith Neiebuhr, Gelsey wants to play WR at the next level and the ‘Noles plan to let him do that.
