Malachi Moore releases statement about his actions at end of Vanderbilt game
Alabama fifth-year senior safety Malachi Moore released a statement on Monday apologizing and taking accountability for his emotional outburst at the end of the Vanderbilt game on Saturday.
Moore received plenty of backlash from the media, former players, and even teammates for what happened. Moore was seen shoving Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia’s head to the ground following the first down that iced the game for the ‘Dores. He then threw his mouthpiece, refused to be subbed out of the game by DC Kane Wommack, and then received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for kicking the football after the official spotted it.
Moore is a team captain for the second year in a row, and his actions hold a lot of weight for everyone in that locker room.
