Mississippi State Football Announced Departure Of Six Key Players

Southern Miss football’s season ended Nov. 25, and roster moves are already being made as the program looks ahead to 2024.

Southern Miss coach Will Hall said the Golden Eagles are looking to add about 15 players through the portal, so it could be a busy time as Southern Miss looks to retool its roster following the 3-9 season. Southern Miss added nine players via the portal last season, many of whom were key contributors in 2023.

The NCAA reduced the number of days the transfer portal is open in the winter window from 60 to 45. The portal officially opened on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, and will close Jan. 3, 2024. Another 15-day window will open on May 1.
