Heart Touching News: QB Joe Burrow Explains His Decision to leave Bengals

As of January 2025, there is no verified information indicating that Joe Burrow has left the Cincinnati Bengals. In fact, in September 2023, Burrow signed a five-year, $275 million contract extension with the Bengals, solidifying his commitment to the team through the 2029 season.

However, during the 2023 season, Burrow faced significant challenges, including a season-ending wrist injury sustained in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens.

This injury contributed to the Bengals missing the playoffs for the first time since 2020.

Despite these setbacks, there have been no official statements or credible reports suggesting that Burrow intends to depart from the Bengals. His recent contract extension indicates a mutual commitment between Burrow and the organization to continue their partnership in pursuit of future success.

It’s worth noting that in July 2024, Burrow expressed interest in participating in flag football at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics,

but this does not imply any intention to leave the Bengals. As of now, Burrow remains the franchise quarterback for Cincinnati, and any claims of his departure are unfounded.

Cincinnati Bengals receiver accused of assaulting woman he was dating

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Bengals rookie wide receiver Jermaine Burton is accused of assaulting a 19-year-old woman he was dating, but she didn’t press charges, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported Wednesday.

Burton, 23, and the woman had gotten into an argument while out together before the incident occurred at her apartment on Dec. 29. The woman told police that after the two parted ways, Burton met her at her apartment and refused to let her inside. He then chased her inside her home, assaulted her, including choking, and broke her phone, police reports show. She also told police that Burton held a knife to his neck and threatened to kill himself.

“Jermaine Burton on the Bengals just broke into my house,” the woman told police during a call to 911 around 8:45 a.m. on Dec. 30. “He broke my phone. He’s been like pretty abusive. He does a lot of things that I don’t tolerate.

“He was yelling at me in the car and he was screaming at me and saying things. He wouldn’t let me go inside. And he choked me (unintelligible) in the hallway. He blocked the door so I couldn’t go inside, and when I did go inside, he chased me upstairs.

“He broke into my house. He broke my phone. This is the second time he’s broken my phone in the past month. He broke my phone. He hit me and he left.

“He said he was going to kill himself. He’s a narcissist. He’s a manipulator. He got in my dishwasher and he grabbed a knife and he held it to his neck.

“I don’t f—ing deserve this. I’m only 19,” she added.

The woman suffered minor injuries did not require medical attention.

Burton had already left the woman’s apartment, and the knife at the apartment, by the time police responded to the scene. The woman initially said she wanted to file charges against Burton, but later changed her mind.
