Today marks the end of an unforgettable chapter and the beginning of a dream I’ve chased since I was a kid. After much prayer, reflection, and conversations with my family and coaches, I have decided to declare for the NFL Draft.
First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude to Baylor University, my teammates, coaches, and the incredible fans who have supported me every step of the way. Wearing the green and gold has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Baylor isn’t just a football program—it’s a family. From the first moment I stepped on campus, I felt the warmth, faith, and relentless spirit that define this university.
To Coach Aranda and the entire coaching staff, thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and helping me grow not only as a quarterback but as a man. The lessons you’ve instilled in me go far beyond the football field, and I will carry them with me throughout my life.
To my teammates—my brothers—thank you for the blood, sweat, and tears we’ve shared on and off the field. The bonds we’ve built are unbreakable, and no matter where life takes us, I’ll always cherish the memories we’ve made together. We pushed each other to be better every single day, and I am so proud to have fought alongside each and every one of you.
To the Baylor fans—thank you for your unwavering support, your chants, your cheers, and your belief in us even in the toughest of moments. Your passion fuels this program, and I’ll forever be grateful to have been a part of this special community.
This decision wasn’t easy. Baylor has given me so much, and leaving behind this chapter comes with a heavy heart. But the dream of playing in the NFL is one I’ve carried with me for as long as I can remember, and I believe now is the time to chase it with everything I have.
As I turn the page to this next chapter, I promise to represent Baylor with pride, humility, and gratitude. I will carry the lessons, friendships, and memories with me every step of the way.
Thank you, Baylor, for everything. This isn’t goodbye—it’s see you later.
With all my heart,
Sawyer Robertson
