Arkansas football lands two 2024 four-star commits
In a span of five minutes, Arkansas football landed two commits from Benton running back Braylen Russell and Temple (TX) cornerback Selman Bridges Friday night.
Russell, a four-star, also had offers from Arkansas State, Tennessee, South Carolina, Ole Miss and Baylor, among others. He originally committed to Arkansas in 2021, but re-opened his recruitment in October 2022. In his first season with Benton, the 6-1, 235-pounder scored 26 times and rushed for over 1,600 yards.
Bridges, listed at 6-4, chose the Hogs over Texas, TCU and USC. He’s listed as a Top 100 recruit by 247Sports.
Arkansas football’s early signing day was anything but quiet.
The Razorbacks added three commits and dropped two, with 22 players signing on Wednesday. Running back Markeylin Bratton hasn’t yet put pen to paper but is expected to sign with the Hogs later this week. Offensive lineman Connor Howes is another commit who hasn’t signed yet, but 247Sports believes he will flip to Ole Miss.
Here’s a look at where Arkansas’ 2025 class fares against the rest of the country, along with six notable recruits the Hogs landed this cycle.
Arkansas football recruiting class 2025 rankings
With two late additions Wednesday afternoon, Arkansas jumped into the top 30 of the 247sports composite rankings with the No. 28 class. Arkansas is 29th according to On3, 27th with ESPN and 26th in Rivals’ rankings.
Arkansas’ class ranks 13th in the SEC, according to the 247Sports Composite. The Hogs jumped two spots on signing day and now have better classes than Kentucky, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt. However, they would likely fall back to 15th and potentially out of the top 30 nationally if Howes does flip to Ole Miss.
