Sad news: Travis Kelce Just Announced To Depart From Tigers In Return To….

The Chiefs may be 3-0 on the season, but that was hard to tell if you were a viewer watching Tracis Kelce on the sidelines during Week

3’s edition of “Sunday Night Football.”

Kansas City squeaked out a victory on the road Sunday night in Atlanta, defeating the Falcons 22-17. It came with some controversy,

as a questionable no-call on defensive pass interference benefitted the Chiefs late in the contest, resulting in Kirk Cousins’ comeback

attempt to fall short.

A large part of the success of the defending Super Bowl champions came on the shoulders of wide receiver Rashee Rice. The second-

year receiver hauled in a career-high 12 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown, torching the Falcons’ defense in the process.

Rice has been far and away quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ favorite target so far in 2024. He leads the team with 24 receptions on 29

targets for 288 yards. In comparison, the next closest in targets is Kelce with just 12, and no other receiver has hit double digits in

catches, or 100 receiving yards yet.

Kelce and Mahomes are usually an unstoppable duo, but that has not been evident at all to start this campaign.

The tight end has been a major focal point in the Kansas City offense since he first broke into the league in 2014. Since Mahomes

became the starting quarterback for the team in 2018, no player has been targeted more by the talented quarterback.

However, whether it’s the defense adjusting to focus on Kelce more, other options like Rice opening up the offense, Mahomes failing to

find the tight end, or a combination of all of the above, Kelce and fantasy owners are staring out into the abyss and looking for

answers.
