After signing a two-year contract, the 30-year-old will remain with the Pies until the end of 2026.
After joining St Kilda after just one match with Sydney, Membrey played 178 games over ten years.
The forward was the Saints’ top goal scorer three times (in 2016, 2017, and 2019) and has 293 goals, including 30 this season.
Last month, Membrey had a medical examination at the AIA Center.
“We are happy to have Tim join Collingwood,” said Justin Leppitsch, the list manager.
“After talking with Tim for a while, we’ve determined that he’s a crucial skill for our lists needs.
“Above his football ability, Tim is a quality individual and strong leader, which we know will complement our program.”
During the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period, Membrey joined free agent Harry Perryman and dual All-Australian Dan Houston in signing.
November 8 is the last day of the delisted free agency period.
