DEAL CONFIRMED: St Helens Saints Welcomes Another Key Player Who Has Today Signed With The Club On The Opening Day Of The AFL Free Agency

St Helens sign another NRL star for 2025

St Helens will lose Tommy Makinson to Catalans Dragons at the end of the season but the Red Vee have now signed veteran NRL winger Kyle Feldt to help replace their club legend.

Makinson will depart after 14 seasons and more than 330 games but the Red Vee have now confirmed the signing of North Queensland Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt who joins on a two-year deal.

St Helens make decision on head coach Paul Wellens' future

It was confirmed yesterday that Feldt would be allowed to leave the Cowboys with the one-club man made available for a move after the club confirmed he would not be offered a new deal.

That will have alerted plenty of Super League sides but it appears that St Helens had already got a deal done with Paul Wellens’ side announcing this morning that Feldt will be a Saint for 2025 and 2026.

The 32-year-old is the Cowboys’ all-time top try scorer with 146 to his name, recently surpassing ex-Wigan man Matty Bowen’s record, and he’ll look to continue his try-scoring exploits in Super League from next year.
