Penrith Panthers star Stephen Crichton announces engagement to high school sweetheart as he proposes on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour: ‘She said yes!’
Penrith Panthers star Stephen Crichton has announced his engagement to his high school sweetheart Leone Lauafia.
The Samoan native, 23, recently shared a gallery of loved-up photos to Instagram, capturing the precious moment he proposed on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour.
Stephen can’t wipe the smile off his face in the heartfelt snaps which capture him kneeling down and presenting Leone with an eye-popping diamond engagement ring.
Crichton is then seen kissing his gorgeous fiancée’s forehead as she flashes her stunning ring to the camera.
‘SHE SAID YES‼️ My high school sweetheart who’s now my fiancée,’ he wrote next to the photos.
My forever love, it’s always been us and now we can share forever together,’ he continued.
Many of Stephen’s followers were quick to congratulate him on the exciting news.
‘Congrats my bro,’ wrote fellow NRL player Malakai Watene-Zelezniak.
‘Awwww my gosh! Congrats fam this is so beautiful,’ a second person added.
The lovebirds have been together for six years and Leone is frequently seen cheering Stephen on at NRL games.
Crichton joined the Penrith Panthers NRL team in 2019 and played with them up until the end of this year’s season.
Next year, he will be joining the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
He was born in Apia, Samoa and is the younger brother of fellow Penrith Panthers player Christian Crichton.
