Former Wigan Warriors youngster one of nine confirmed to depart Castleford Tigers
Castleford Tigers have confirmed the departures of nine players following the conclusion of their 2024 Super League campaign, including a former Wigan Warriors youngster.
Captain Paul McShane has retired from full-time rugby league following the end of the regular campaign, having announced his decision earlier in September.
The 2020 Man of Steel winner enjoyed nine seasons with the Tigers, and was a crucial part of the 2017 side that lifted the League Leaders’ Shield and reached their first ever Super League Grand Final that season.
McShane, who also represented England on the international stage, made more than 200 appearances for Castleford, and retires aged 34.
Corey Hall, Daniel Hindmarsh, Elie El-Zakhem, Jacob Miller, Brad Martin, Luis Johnson and Nixon Putt have also had their departures announced.
