Adelaide has thanked forward Elliott Himmelberg after he advised the Club of his intention to exercise his rights as an unrestricted free agent and join the Gold Coast Suns.
Himmelberg was drafted in 2016 and has played 50 games with the Crows since making his AFL debut in 2018.
Crows GM List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said Himmelberg would leave West Lakes with the Club’s best wishes.
“Elliott is a popular member of our playing group who has made a big contribution to our Club over the past eight seasons,” Reid said.
“We thank Elliott for his efforts and wish him all the best for the future.”
The AFL’s Free Agency window opened today and the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period begins on Monday.
Adelaide has made four list changes with Ned McHenry, Will Hamill, Lachlan Gollant and Patrick Parnell being advised they would not be offered a contract for next season.
Crows GM List Management and Strategy Justin Reid thanked the four players for their contribution to the Club and wished them well for the future.
McHenry kicked 32 goals from 70 games as a half forward while key forward Gollant booted 13 goals from 16 games and pinch-hitting in the ruck.
Running defender Hamill played 45 games across six seasons while Parnell was the Club’s first ever mid-season draftee in 2021 and played 17 games in defence.
“These are always difficult decisions which are an unfortunate part of the industry,” Reid said.
“Each one of these players has made a positive contribution to our Club and left an impact on our playing group, and I would like to thank them for their commitment over several seasons.
“We wish Ned, Will, Lachlan and Patrick all the best for the next chapter.”
The list changes are in addition to Rory Sloane who announced his retirement during the season and Elliott Himmelberg who has joined Gold Coast via Free Agency.
