The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to announce that Sitili Tupouniua has accepted a four-year deal that will see him join the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs from the 2025 season onwards.
Tupouniua is a talented back-rower who will bring a wealth of experience to the Bulldogs pack in 2025, having made 96 appearances for the Sydney Roosters to date. The 27-year-old has represented Tonga on three occasions and is an attacking force, having scored 28 tries in the NRL.
Tupouniua will see out the remainder of his contract at the Sydney Roosters this season and out of respect to both Tupouniua and the Roosters, the Bulldogs will not be making any further comment at this time and until he joins us next year.
The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to announce the signing of prop, Tom Amone who will join the Bulldogs on a two-year term commencing in 2025.
The Leigh Leopards forward announced to teammates earlier today that he would be rejoining the NRL at the end of the Super League season.
Amone adds much needed depth to the Bulldogs forward pack, a powerful prop who has spent the past two seasons playing in England forging a name for himself as one of the Super League’s most damaging ballcarriers.
The 27-year-old returns to the NRL for the 2025 and 2026 seasons to don the Blue and White after stints at the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Wests Tigers.
Amone made his NRL debut in 2019 for the Rabbitohs where he played for two seasons before joining the Tigers in 2021.
The Australia-born prop then headed to the Super League where he has made 33 appearances for the Leigh Leopards including their 2023 Challenge Cup final win.
General Manager of Football Phil Gould said the Bulldogs were greatly looking forward to his arrival next year:
“We are very excited to have Tom Amone returning to the NRL. He has been the best front row forward in the UK for the past two years and he will certainly be a boost to our forward stocks.
“We look forward to welcoming him to Belmore for the pre-season.”
