Saddest News Ever: Alabama talented key player suffer a career-ending injury

Injured Alabama wide receiver Kendrick Law will not play at Vanderbilt

Alabama downgraded wide receiver Kendrick Law to out on Friday night’s injury report.

Alabama on Friday night downgraded wide receiver Kendrick Law to out for Saturday afternoon’s game at Vanderbilt.

Law had been listed as questionable on Wednesday and Thursday’s availability reports after he suffered a lower-body injury in last Saturday’s win over Georgia. The Tide made the update to Law’s status, as required by SEC rules, on Friday evening’s availability report after the team traveled to Nashville.

Law started the first three games this season as a third wide receiver alongside Germie Bernard and Ryan Williams. He came off the bench against Georgia before being injured. Law has two catches this season for 41 yards, including a touchdown, and two runs for 6 yards. The junior also leads Alabama with 77 kick return yards on two returns. Cole Adams and Ryan Williams are the Tide’s other two players to return kickoffs this season.

Law’s absence could result in Cole Adams, Kobe Prentice and Emmanuel Henderson receiving more snaps at wide receiver behind likely starters Bernard and Williams.

Linebacker Justin Jefferson remains probable for Saturday’s game and was the only other player listed on Friday’s availability report.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 3:15 p.m. and airs on SEC Network.
