Joe Richards asks for Port Adelaide

Collingwood confirmed Joe Richards has requested a trade to Port Adelaide.
The 24-year-old, who has played nine times for the Magpies at AFL level, and was drafted at pick 48 in the 2022 draft.
It is not known what the terms of the trade will be, but Collingwood said they are in discussions with Port Adelaide.

James Peatling requests Crows switch

Giants midfielder James Peatling has reportedly told the club he wishes to join the Crows.
Peatling, 24, has played 45 senior games since being picked up in the 2021 mid-season draft.
While he’s not contracted for 2025, Peatling isn’t a free agent, meaning Adelaide will need to come up with a trade.
Peatling had a four-year offer on the table from GWS, while a host of other clubs were vying for his services.

Bailey Smith requests Geelong switch

To the surprise of nobody in the football world, Bailey Smith has officially requested a trade to Geelong.
Smith is off-contract with the Dogs but is not a free agent, meaning the clubs will need to agree to a trade, with Geelong’s first-round selection, currently pick 15, expected to be used as part of the deal.
It’s believed the Cats have tabled a six-year offer for the 23-year-old.
The wingman missed the 2024 season following an ACL injury but has played 103 senior games since being taken with the seventh pick in the 2018 draft.

Jack Martin set to nominate Geelong

Off-contract Blue Jack Martin looks set to find himself at a third club this off-season, with reports linking the 29-year-old with a move to Geelong.
The delisted midfielder was being chased by Fremantle but, according to the Herald Sun, will announce his wish to the join the Cats in the coming days.
Martin has played 151 AFL games, 97 with the Suns and 54 at Carlton since his 2014 debut.

Luke Parker requests North Melbourne move

The Swans have confirmed Luke Parker has requested a trade to North Melbourne.
“Coming to Sydney as a 19-year-old completely changed my life. Sydney became my home, I met my wife Kate here and the Swans became our family,” Parker said.
“The decision to part ways with the club after 14 years has been an extremely difficult choice, one I thought I’d never have to make.
“My most valued memories have been forged here, alongside a group of teammates who have become like brothers, and with fans who have shown me more love than I could have ever imagined deserving.”
After 293 games and three Bob Skilton Medals, Parker will go down as one of Sydney’s modern greats.
The 31-year-old is contracted for next season, meaning North Melbourne will need to come up with a trade when the window opens on October 7.

Oliver positive about Geelong move following meeting

Melbourne midfielder Clayton Oliver met with Geelong on Tuesday as the Cats explore the possibility of recruiting the 27-year-old.
Reports yet again linking Oliver with a move away from the Demons have been circling, with club CEO Gary Pert understood to have enquired about the possibility with rival clubs.
Geelong players Tom Stewart and Rhys Stanley were part of the meeting which reportedly left Oliver optimistic about a move down the highway.
Oliver has six years to run on a monster contract worth, on average, more than $1 million per season.
That alone creates a significant obstacle to a move but the wheels have certainly been greased in the last few days.

WA clubs on alert over Chad Warner

Sydney midfielder Chad Warner is expected to be the subject of fierce speculation over the next 12 months, with the Western Australian entering the final year of his contract.
The Swans gun was one of many who failed to fire in his side’s 60-point grand final loss to Brisbane but he remains a highly sought after player.
According to Jon Ralph, both West Coast and Fremantle have been made aware of Warner’s current leaning to return home to WA at the end of next season.
