DEAL CONFIRMED: Kevin Durant Agrees To One-Year, $63m Extension With Miami Heat…

Curry was drafted by the Warriors as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

The guard – regarded as one of the NBA’s all-time greatest shooters- has remained with the franchise ever since.

He signed a four-year, $215 million contract with the Warriors in 2022.

Curry’s one-year extension will see the 36-year-old earn $62.6 million through to the end of the 2026-27 season.

It takes his overall NBA earnings to a stunning $536 million, per ESPN’s Bobby Marks.

Curry is just the third player in NBA history to eclipse the half-a-billion barrier during this career.

“Not bad for a kid not heavily recruited out of high school and doubted by pro scouts,” wrote one impressed fan on X.

“Congrats Steph, more than deserved,” added another.

“Almost $1 million PER GAME. That’s wild,” commented a third.

“The man deserves every penny,” declared a fourth.

The other two players to have achieved the feat are NBA icon LeBron James and four-time Olympic gold medal winner Kevin Durant.

LeBron signed a two-year extension with the Los Angeles Lakers in July which will see him remain in the league until he is 41.

The 20-time All-Star will have amassed $583.3 million by the time his deal runs out, per SI.

Durant meanwhile will pocket $504 million by the time his two-year extension with the Phoenix Suns ends.

Curry joined both James and Durant in Paris last month for the Olympic Games.

The trio helped the USA to a fifth-consecutive Olympics gold, with Curry putting in heroic performances in both the semi-final and final.

Curry scored a total of 60 points and shot 17 for 26 from 3-point range in wins over Serbia and France.

Despite his advancing years, Curry shows no signs of slowing down as he targets a fifth career NBA title next season.

Last year, he averaged 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.1 assists in 74 games.

He will have to operate with backcourt partner Klay Thompson next season after the forward was traded to the Dallas Mavericks.
