Steph Curry puts out the fire: Explains why he removed Warriors from his Instagram profile…

Steph Curry sent Golden State Warriors fans into a spiral when it became clear that he had deleted the team from his Instagram account, leading fans to think he was on the move.

He has now managed to clear the air and the situation is nowhere near as dramatic as it initially seemed.

Curry removed the name of his team from his Instagram bio and he has been left with no choice but to explain himself whilst on The Circuit with host Emily Chang.

The Warriors star was part of the USA team that won the gold medal in men’s basketball at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and he was very proud of it,

so he changed the section of his bio that said “And, oh yeah, Guard for the @Warriors” and replaced it with “And…Olympic Gold Medalist”.

Curry is a proud Olympian
Clearly, Curry was not prepared for just how eagle-eyed the Warriors fans were and he has had to provide some context.

“I was just proud to be an Olympian!” Curry explained.

Thank you for watching

It was perhaps a naive call from Curry given there have been a lot of rumors in recent weeks about the prospect of him teaming up with LeBron James on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Chang then asked him if he intends to spend the rest of his career with the Warriors to which he responded: “That’s the plan.”

Warriors fans can rest easy for now then about the future of their star player, but they might have wished that he thought about them a bit more when changing his bio.
