Flyers Have Interesting Trade Target from Maple Leafs

When looking at trade candidates around the NHL, one player who should immediately grab their attention is Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson.

Robertson, 22, requested a trade earlier this offseason from the Maple Leafs, so the possibility of him getting dealt is naturally there. When noting that he is a young forward who has shown good upside at the NHL level, he is precisely the kind of player the Flyers should be open to taking a chance on.
Robertson is quietly coming off a solid season with the Maple Leafs, as he posted new career highs with 14 goals, 13 assists, and 27 points in 56 games. When noting that he primarily played in a bottom-six role, these numbers are pretty encouraging.
The Flyers have assets that could appeal to the Maple Leafs. Scott Laughton is a player who the Maple Leafs have been connected to in the past. If not Laughton, Morgan Frost is also someone who could intrigue the Leafs in a potential Robertson deal.
Overall, when noting that Robertson is a skilled winger who could one day blossom into a top-six forward, he is somebody who the Flyers should consider making a push for. We will need to wait and see if they do just that from here,
