Good news: Hawthorn best player is back

RD 22 TEAM: Midfielder makes his return

Hawthorn’s Round 22 team has been named for Sunday’s clash with Carlton.

Hawthorn has made one change for its crucial clash with Carlton on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.

Emerging midfielder Cam Mackenzie makes his return to the team after spending the past three weeks playing solidly for Box Hill.

His selection comes at the expense of Josh Ward, who has been omitted for Sunday’s match.

Hawthorn Executive General Manager of Football Rob McCartney welcomed Mackenzie back into the line-up.

“Cam has earned his spot off the back of outstanding performances at Box Hill over the past couple of weeks,” McCartney said.

“He continues to develop in season 2024 and this high-stakes game against the Blues will be another great opportunity for him to grow as a player.”
