AC/DC set to retire: reports
AC/DC are set to announce their retirement, according to reports this morning.
Since forming in 1973, AC/DC’s high voltage rock ‘n’ roll has flowed out into the world via consistently sold-out concert tours and global sales totaling more than 200 million albums and counting. Head by founding brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, AC/DC has become one of the highest grossing bands of all time.
Show business commentator Peter Ford told 6PR this morning that he believed “we may never hear them perform or record ever again”.
6PR are also reporting that Malcolm Young and his family have moved back to Australia “because he is very sick”.
“There is some quite sad detail about it all, that I will not be reporting on, but the band/management may choose to reveal this,” he wrote on Twitter this morning.
He said the “boys played together about five or six weeks ago in a private jam session … Malcolm wasn’t really at his best”.
