The new league year is upon us and Monday brings one of the most frantic times on the NFL calendar, as the negotiating window or ‘legal tampering period’, as it has come to be known, begins on Monday at 12pm ET.

Teams can negotiate with pending unrestricted free agents, but no deal can be officially confirmed until the new league year officially begins on March 13.

Pressed up against the salary cap, the San Francisco 49ers don’t have a lot of room for maneuver as they look to make signings that will set themselves up for another run at the Super Bowl.
