GOOD NEWS: Angus Young Officially Announce An Impressive Comeback with His Biggest…..

AC/DC make their live comeback at Power Trip festival – photos, videos and setlist

AC/DC made their long-awaited live return with a rapturously-received headline set at Power Trip festival in Indio, California on Saturday night (7th October).

Taking to the vast Power Trip stage after Judas Priest, who had earlier announced their 19th studio album ‘Invincible Shield’, Angus Young, Brian Johnson, Cliff Williams, Stevie Young and stand-in drummer Matt Laug tore through a 24-song set.

A special moment for Acca Dacca fans, the show was Brian Johnson’s first with the band since his sudden departure in 2016, when doctors ordered him to quit or risk ‘total hearing loss’.

Opening for the first time in their history with ‘If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)’ followed by ‘Back in Black’, the set featured the live debuts of two tracks from their 2020 album ‘Power Up’; ‘Demon Fire’ and ‘Shot in the Dark’.

AC/DC also played ‘Riff Raff’, a song they revived for their shows with Axl Rose in 2016, but which they’ve never performed live with Brian Johnson before.

In another setlist surprise, they dusted off ‘Stiff Upper Lip’ for its first live outing in 20 years, whilst during ‘Let There Be Rock’, belying his 68 years, Angus still fell to the floor thrashing on his back during the solo.

After tearing through the likes of ‘Highway To Hell’ and ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’, AC/DC returned for a scintillating encore of ‘TNT’ and closer ‘For Those About To Rock (We Salute You).’

AC/DC fans will be hoping that their performance at Power Trip festival will pave the way for more tour dates from the rock legends.
