Michigan football loses another receiver to the NCAA transfer portal
Michigan football may be losing another reserve receiver to the transfer portal.
Cristian Dixon, a senior with one catch in his collegiate career, formally entered the NCAA’s transfer database on Wednesday, a team spokesman confirmed to MLive.
Dixon has not publicly commented, but his social media activity over the weekend may have foreshadowed this decision. “Know your worth, even if it gets lonely,” the 6-foot-2, 197-pound wideout reposted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. He followed up with a message that only included an emoji of an 8-ball.
The move comes one day after the spring transfer portal window opened up, allowing underclassmen the opportunity to pursue a roster spot at other schools. Dixon appeared in a combined six games over three seasons, largely playing on special teams. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Michigan is in the final week of its spring practice schedule, with the annual spring game set for Saturday in Ann Arbor (Noon, FOX)
Dixon, a former four-star recruit from Santa Ana, Calif., is the third scholarship receiver to enter transfer portal since Jim Harbaugh departed Michigan in January. Eamonn Dennis and Karmello English, two reserve backs, signaled plans to enter the portal last month. English formally entered on Tuesday.
His expected departure would leave Michigan with four scholarship receivers coming out of spring: Fred Moore, Semaj Morgan, Tyler Morris and Peyton O’Leary. The Wolverines lost their two most productive wideouts, Roman Wilson and Cornelius Johnson, to the NFL draft.
A pair of freshmen, Channing Goodwin and I’Marion Stewart, are expected to join the program this summer.
