SAD NEWS: Los Angeles Lakers have lost another key player

For months, there has been speculation on which coach would be better suited to be at the helm of the Los Angeles Lakers. There had been quite a bit of controversy because LeBron James‘ podcast co-host J.J. Reddick has been mentioned as a potential option. There are many who still claim that James has power within the LakersLakers - The official site of the NBA for the latest NBA Scores, Stats &  News. | NBA.com organization and that may or may not be true. But making accusations without any credible evidence is potentially damaging for the team. No matter what you think about this situation, there is no doubt that J.J. Reddick is definitely being considered for the job and we just got a new update that is worth sharing with everybody.

It all happened during of the the Pat McAfee shows, where Anthony Irwin dared to claim that the deal was done. If you wonder what deal he is talking about, it’s the alleged hiring of J.J. Reddick as the Los Angeles Lakers coach. But the reality is not as easy as it seems because another insider who was there is The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Irwin did mention this on McAfeee: “I’m hearing it’s done. J.J. Reddick is the next coach of the Lakers.” That is a bold statement because if true, it will be one of the most important news of the year for the team. And it will also increase bullying on LeBron James.

But Shams Charania has a different take, he said: “There’s not an agreement as far as I know for JJ Redick as of right now. JJ Redick went to LA and had in person meetings with the Lakers’ brass. Rob Pelinka and team’s ownership. I’m told his meetings were very impressive. As far as where he stands in this process, I’ve said his status as the front-runner to be the next Lakers coach hasn’t change. It hasn’t changed now.” We would love to get some confirmed information on this report because the information is currently all over the place.
