Bobby Kanka, a Michigan commit, paid an official visit to Michigan State.
Bobby Kanka, a three-star defensive tackle from Howell, Michigan, had committed to the rival Michigan Wolverines months before head coach Jonathan Smith was appointed at Michigan State, but ever since they moved to East Lansing, the coaches at Michigan State have made him a priority.
During the contact periods, the Michigan State coaches have paid Kanka several visits at Howell High School, sending almost the whole staff there in the spring. After their own coaching changes, Michigan has been erratic in their communication with him; but, they have focused on him since he set up an official visit to Michigan State.
This weekend, Kanka and his family returned the favor to the Michigan State coaching staff, taking an official visit to East Lansing. Kanka who is still a Michigan commit spoke with Spartan Tailgate about the visit but wanted to keep things close to the vest, being that he is still committed to the Wolverines.
